The first shot was a close up shot. In this shot, a little boy is playing basketball. It was an “awww” moment. It was the best angle for the film because it showed the little boy’s smile as he was playing basketball. It wouldn’t have the same effect on the audience if it was from a different angle.
The second shot in the film was the POV shot. This shot showed that the boy has grown a little bit older and he is highly talented at basketball for his age. The POV shot was the best one for the clip, but it wouldn’t change the film if it was from a different angle. I think the director chose this angle because it is as if the audience is their watching the boy play basketball. It really focuses your attention on the boy’s skills.
The third shot was, again, the POV shot. This shot has an “OOO” effect on the audience because the boy embarrasses another boy playing basketball. This is the best shot for the film because it’s like you are at the game in the audience watching the boy playing basketball. This shot focuses my attention on how the boy competes against other basketball players.
The fourth shot is a close up shot. This shot shows that the boy is very serious while playing basketball. You could tell because of his facial expression. He is very serious. It would change the film if it was from a different angle because you wouldn’t be able to see the boy’s attitude while playing basketball.
The fifth shot is also a close up shot. This shot is the only shot so far that is not exciting, or entertaining, so it kind of cools down the film. The shot is the boy in class. You could tell he is bored because of his mood. My attention is focused on how he acts in class. It would change the film if it was from a different angle because you wouldn’t be able to tell the boy’s mood.
The sixth shot is another close up shot. This shot shows the audience the boy’s facial expression. This would change the film if it had been from another angle because it shows the boy’s mood. This shot focuses my attention on the boy. He is irritated because he has to walk home.
